Andy Smallman

Andy has more than 25 years’ experience in the heath ICT industry, initially based in the United Kingdom and since 1999 in Australia. He has worked on numerous Health Sector ICT engagements including strategic planning, project management and system related projects including implementation, development and integration. Andy has led many significant system implementations and had contributed to the definition of Implementation Methodologies for hospital, district and state wide solution rollouts.

As General Manager (Service Delivery) at Alcidion Group, Andy leads the implementation of our market leading solutions and consulting projects across our territories. Prior to joining Alcidion Group he was one of five working Directors for MKM Health, based in Sydney. Andy is project delivery focused and is passionate about implementing innovative solutions into health organisations, to deliver the best patient outcomes. He was Professional Services Director and then General Manager for the MKM Health Group covering Australia and New Zealand.

Andy previously worked at a senior management level as Professional Services Manager for iSOFT, a global software vendor of Health IT solutions. Solutions implemented covered the full continuum of care within financial, administration, primary, community and clinical settings. Prior to his roles at iSOFT, Andy worked as a consultant in the Large Systems Implementation Group at KPMG Management Consulting.

Andy has a First Class Honours degree in Computing Information Systems (BCIS).
