Rob Lowe

Rob Lowe has a diverse work experience in the maintenance and management field. Rob started their career as a Chipper at Vulcan Materials Company in 1987. Rob then worked as the Market Area Heavy Equipment Fleet Manager at Waste Management Of California Inc. from 1993 to 2002. After that, they served as the South West Regional Asset Manager at Schnitzer Steel Industries INC from 2009 to 2012. Following this, they joined Athens Services as the Regional MRF & Landfill/Transfer Station Maintenance Manager from 2012 to 2017. In 2018, they worked as a Lead Consultant for PIT STOP SERVICES Of CA. Rob was also involved in a part-time role with Monterey Regional Waste Management District as a Heavy Equipment Technician Level III Advisor from 2018 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Maintenance at the San Jose Yard at Alco Iron & Metal Company since September 2019.

Rob Lowe attended Edgewood High School, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Basic Requirements. After completing high school, they enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley from 1982 to 1984, studying business management.

In addition to their formal education, Rob Lowe has also obtained various certifications over the years. In 1989, they obtained Equipment Operators Licenses from the City of Los Angeles. In 1999, they completed Track Type Tractor Training from Caterpillar Inc. In 2000, they received Bulletproof Manager Training from Crestcom International and Compactor Training Rex 390 from Rexworks. In 2002, they became SWANA Certified by The Solid Waste Association of North America. In 2017, they obtained Train The Trainer Lift Truck Training from Hub International, Fall Protection Training from Versatile Systems, Inc., and Tier 4 Final Engine Certification from Caterpillar Inc. Most recently, in November 2020, they acquired a Class B Drivers License from the California Department of Motor Vehicles.
