Emma Grundy

Emma Grundy is a seasoned professional in the mining and resources sector, currently serving as Mine Manager / SSE at Alcoa since January 2024. Prior experience includes a prominent tenure at BHP from May 2017 to November 2023, where Emma held various roles such as Manager Operations (Processing & Maintenance) and Superintendent of multiple departments, while also chairing the DRIVE Inclusion & Diversity Committee. Earlier, from October 2010 to May 2017, Emma was with Rio Tinto as a Superintendent in various operational readiness and health safety-related roles. Emma's career commenced at Downer, where responsibilities spanned from Load & Haul Operator to Senior Advisor in Health, Safety, Environment, and Training. Emma holds a Graduate Diploma in Minerals Industry Risk Management from The University of Queensland and a Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from Edith Cowan University.
