Candace Childers

Candace Childers has a robust professional background with extensive experience in both the private sector and military service. At Alcon, from August 2019 to January 2024, Candace held roles including General Manager of Intraocular Lens Manufacturing, Site Quality Head, and Senior Manufacturing Manager, contributing to quality and operational excellence in manufacturing. Prior military service with the United States Navy from May 2005 to February 2015 included positions as Lieutenant Commander (Select) Surface Warfare Officer, Operations Officer on the USS CHAFEE, and Department Head/Tactical Action Officer Student, showcasing leadership and strategic planning abilities. Candace holds an M.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin and an M.S. in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School.
