Doug Wensrich

Doug Wensrich has extensive experience in the field of intraocular device design and development, currently serving as Director of Intraocular Device Product Design and Development at Alcon since December 2005. Previously held positions at Alcon include Associate Director and Manager of Intraocular Lens Delivery Systems Product Design, as well as Intraocular Lens Design Engineer, showcasing expertise in designing the first in class preloaded, automated, disposable AutonoMe IOL delivery system. Doug's career began with a Test Engineering Co-op at Stewart and Stevenson in 2005, where responsibilities included fabricating and testing custom fixtures for product performance. Doug holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Business Administration from Texas A&M University, as well as a Master of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington.
