Gonçalo Duarte

Gonçalo Duarte is a Data Scientist at Alcon since July 2022, with previous experience as a Data Analyst at Pierre Fabre Group from January 2020 to June 2022, where responsibilities included analyzing sales and operational data for the Personal Care and Dermocosmetics departments using tools like Python, SQL, and Tableau. Prior to this, Gonçalo held a Research Fellowship at Universidade de Coimbra, contributing to the Biofeedback Augmented Software Engineering (BASE) project, which assessed programmers' mental effort and resulted in multiple scientific publications. An MSc thesis focused on biosignal analysis for mental effort assessment also facilitated significant funding for the project. Early in the career, Gonçalo worked as an Engineering Intern at Ingeniarius, mentoring students in a robotics academy. Educational background includes an MSc in Bioinformatics from Universidade de Coimbra and a Postgraduate Degree in Enterprise Data Science and Analytics from NOVA IMS.
