Heidi Ortiz

Heidi Ortiz has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Heidi began their career at Theradex® in 1997, where they worked as a Senior Clinical Research Associate until 1999. In the same year, they joined Alcon as Head of Clinical Trial Management on an acting basis. Over the years, Heidi worked their way up within Alcon, taking on various leadership roles such as Head of Trial Management Operations and Head of Clinical Operations. Heidi was recently promoted to Vice President and Head of Clinical Operations Functions at Alcon.

Heidi Ortiz holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, General from the University of Colorado Boulder, which they obtained from 1988 to 1990. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Audiology/Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathology/Pathologist from the University of Oregon, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. Additionally, they obtained a CCRA certification from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals in 2001.
