Hongzhu Liao

Hongzhu Liao, Ph.D., is an accomplished R&D Sr. Scientist at Alcon since September 2021, with prior experience as an R&D Analytical Scientist at Neos Therapeutics, Inc. from February 2016 to September 2021. In this role, Hongzhu Liao led method development and validation for drug products and played a key part in formulation development for clinical trials while addressing analytical chemistry challenges. Earlier experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Arlington, where innovative analytical devices were designed for enhanced detection capabilities, and an internship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, optimizing chromatography methods. Hongzhu Liao holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Ocean University of China and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from The University of Texas at Arlington.
