Hessel Kaastra is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership and strategic roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as Chief Integration Officer at Ayvens since June 2023, Hessel is responsible for the global coordination of integrating ALD Automotive and LeasePlan. From May 2003 to May 2023, Hessel held several key positions at LeasePlan, including Managing Director Austria, where a turnaround led to growth and record profitability, and Managing Director Global Value Stream Leader Insurance, overseeing a substantial P&L and driving a global expansion program. Other notable roles include Managing Director Mexico, where operations were successfully established, and Director of Corporate Strategy & Development, managing strategic initiatives. Prior experience includes a Senior Consultant position at Bain & Company and a Product Manager role at Thales. Hessel's academic background includes an MBA from INSEAD and an MSc in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
