Ellen Shafer

Ellen Shafer is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in strategic communication, public relations, and marketing. Currently serving as Senior Director of Communications at Aldevron since June 2018, Ellen excels in external communications, crisis management, and strategic planning, effectively aligning efforts with company objectives. Prior to this role, Ellen directed marketing and communications during Aldevron's integration into Danaher following a $9.6 billion acquisition. Ellen's career also includes serving as Director of Marketing & Communications at Leeco Steel, where responsibilities were assumed from the EVP, and as President of Shafer Public Relations, offering brand and reputation management to executive teams. Ellen holds a BA in English and Strategic Communications with a minor in Speech Communications from North Dakota State University and a Certificate in Innovation Strategy from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
