Merel Vollenberg

Merel Vollenberg is an accomplished professional in Learning and Development with extensive experience in the retail sector. Currently serving as Director of Learning and Development at Aldi Nederland since January 2020, Vollenberg is responsible for establishing the L&D structure and leading the team to align employee development with the company’s long-term vision. Additionally, Vollenberg is the Chair of the Project Group for Supermarket Training at CBL, advocating for educational opportunities within the supermarket industry. Previous roles include Vice-Chair of the Retail Market Segment at Samenwerkingsorganisatie Beroepsonderwijs Bedrijfsleven, Head of Personnel Development at Praxis, and various HR positions at Vendex KBB.
