Ignacio Cid has a diverse range of work experience in research, analytics, and management roles. Ignacio started their career at Kantar Worldpanel as an Account Manager in Spain from 1996 to 1997. Ignacio then moved to Argentina and became an Account Director from 1997 to 1999. In 1999, they joined PepsiCo as a Category Management Executive before advancing to various managerial positions, including Category Management Manager for Foods (Spain), Shopper Insights & Revenue Management Manager for Foods (Iberia), Senior Manager, Consumer Insights & Innovation for Foods (Europe), and Head of Business Analytics for Foods & Beverages (Europe) from 2001 to 2013. In 2014, Ignacio became the Head of Business Intelligence at Ulabox until 2018. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at ALDI ESPAÑA as the Research & Analytics Director before becoming the Category Management Excellence, Research & Analytics Business Unit Director. Additionally, Ignacio served as an Associate Professor at Blanquerna - Universitat Ramon Llull from 2017 to 2020.

Ignacio Cid obtained an MBA in Business Administration from IESE Business School from 2009 to 2011. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Statistics and Operations Research from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya between 2014 and 2016. Earlier in their education, from 1993 to 1997, Ignacio completed a degree in Economics with a focus on Marketing Research (ITM) at Universitat de Barcelona. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1993, they studied Business Administration with a specialization in Foreign Trade and International Economy at the same institution.
