Maria Towey

Maria Towey started their work experience in 2005 as an Operations Manager at Convenience Advertising, where they worked until 2009. Maria then moved on to Metro Herald, where they held the same role from 2009 to 2015. In 2016, Maria became an Operations Manager at WIN WIN Ireland and stayed until 2018. In 2018, they joined Spectrum - Delivering for your Brand as a Client Operations Manager, a role they held until 2019. In 2019, they started working at spunout as the Director of People & Operations. In 2019, Maria also joined 50808, where they served as the Head of Community Operations (Ireland) from 2019 to 2020. From 2020 to 2021, they held the position of Head of Operations (Ireland) at 50808. Maria is currently serving as the Director of People & Operations at both spunout and 50808.

Maria Towey has a diverse education history. In 1996-1999, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Politics and Sociology from University College Dublin. Later, from 1999-2001, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Political Communication at Dublin City University. In 2009, they completed an Advanced Diploma in Project Management at the Communications & Management Institute. Most recently, in 2017-2018, Maria attended the National College of Ireland and obtained a CIPD Diploma in HRM, focusing on Human Resources Management and Services. Additionally, they pursued a Certificate in Non-Profit Leadership and Management at the National College of Ireland from 2021-2022. Maria also holds certifications in Leading Remote Teams, obtained from Grow Remote in October 2021, and the CIPD Diploma Human Resources Management, obtained from CIPD Ireland in June 2018.
