Tiago Barros has extensive experience in the retail and food industry, currently serving as Director Category at Aldi Portugal since September 2019. Previously, Tiago worked at DIA PORTUGAL Supermercados as Group Product Manager, overseeing multiple categories and managing P&L accounts from November 2014 to August 2019. Other roles include Senior Category Manager for Meat at Teixeira Duarte Distribuição, Buyer for Meat at Makro Cash & Carry Portugal, and Procurement Specialist for Meat & Seafood at Sonae. Tiago began their career as a Category Manager at Carrefour and has also held managerial positions at Pinto e Pinheiro, Lda, and worked as a Sales Assistant at Americo Verdasca, Lda. Educational qualifications include a Post Graduation in Quality Control and Food Safety from Universidade Lusófona and an Engineer's degree in Biotechnology from the same institution.
