Niklas Wehner

Niklas Wehner has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Niklas most recently worked at ALDI SÜD HOLDING, starting as a Manager of Corporate Responsibility International in March 2019. Niklas then progressed to Senior Manager in July 2021 and is currently the Director of Corporate Responsibility International as of January 2023. Prior to ALDI, Niklas worked at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH as an Advisor from May 2016 to June 2017, after starting as a Junior Advisor in October 2013. Niklas also had an internship role in the sector project "Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture" from April 2013 to September 2013 at the same organization. Niklas also worked at GSSI - Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative from June 2013 to June 2017, serving in the GSSI Secretariat. Earlier in their career, they were a student research assistant at the University of Konstanz from November 2012 to March 2013 while pursuing their Bachelor's degree in Political and Administrative Science from October 2009 to March 2013. Additionally, they had an internship role at Secrétariat général des affaires européennes (SGAE) from April 2012 to September 2012 and was a student at Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Grenoble from September 2011 to February 2012.

Niklas Wehner has a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Environmental Management and Policy, which was obtained from the International Institute of Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) at Lund University from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Politics and Administration at the University of Konstanz from 2009 to 2013. Niklas also holds an Abitur from the International German School in Paris (iDSP) from 2006 to 2008. Additionally, Niklas obtained a certification as an Environmental Management Specialist from TÜV SÜD in 2017. In 2011 and 2012, they attended Sciences Po Grenoble, but no degree or field of study is specified for this time period.
