Adrian Bustillos

Chief Transformation Officer at Aldine ISD

Adrian Bustillos was named the Chief Transformation Officer for Aldine ISD in October 2019.

Mr. Bustillos began his career in 2006 as a science teacher in El Paso ISD (EPISD). He quickly moved into campus and administrative leadership roles, including science facilitator, assistant principal, and high school facilitator.

Before joining Aldine, Bustillos was the Executive Director for the Office of Transformation for EPISD, but he also helped launch the new office. Additionally, Bustillos served as a Systems of Great Schools Liaison between El Paso ISD and the Texas Education Agency. The main objective was to have more students in better schools every year.

He also oversaw the hiring and curriculum development at some of the EPISD’s struggling campuses.

Bustillos holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas-El Paso in Biological Science, a Master of Education in School Leadership, and has completed all coursework required for his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction at New Mexico State University.
