Janice Calder-Vernon, CPA, CA, FCCA, currently serves as the Director of External Financial Reporting and Accounting Policy at Alectra, a position held since July 2018. With a solid background in financial reporting, Janice has held various roles, including Director of Financial Reporting and Manager of Financial Reporting at Alectra, and previously worked as Manager of Corporate Accounting at Just Energy from July 2017 to June 2018. Prior experience includes Senior Manager of Accounting Policies and Procedures at Scotiabank from June 2011 to July 2017, and as an IFRS Implementation Consultant at Canadian Tire between 2009 and 2011. Janice began their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, serving as Manager/Senior Associate from June 2004 to January 2008. Janice's educational qualifications include certifications from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and ACCA, a Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards, and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies and Accounting from the University of the West Indies, Mona.
