Mehdi Vafaei

Mehdi Vafaei is an experienced Planning Engineer at Alectra since June 2018, focusing on electrical engineering analysis, distribution system planning, and the integration of emerging technologies. Previously, Mehdi served as a Technical Lead in Advanced Planning, overseeing the integration of renewable resources and smart grid technologies. Prior to Alectra, Mehdi provided consulting services as an Electrical Engineer and worked at BBA and Kinectrics, gaining expertise in power system analysis and electrical transmission and distribution projects. Mehdi's career began at Rockwell Automation as a Firmware Engineer, following research work at the University of Waterloo in power electronics and renewable energy. Mehdi holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Tehran.
