Mike Hartford

Mike Hartford has a diverse work experience spanning over various roles and industries. Mike is currently working as the Director of Internal Audit at Alegeus where they established and oversees the Internal Audit function, including the compliance program for ICFR. In their previous role as the Head of Audit, Loan Services at Computershare, they developed the audit strategy and annual plan for the global loan services business. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Manager at Sunera LLC, where they assisted in a successful IPO and performed day-to-day oversight for SOX and GRC engagements. Mike also has experience as a Senior Analyst at General Dynamics Information Technology and as an Audit Consultant at Altran Control Solutions. Earlier in their career, they served as the Director of Continuing Education at Newbury College and held roles as a Quality Control Auditor and Field Auditor at BJ's Wholesale Club, where they conducted operational audits and assisted in special projects.

Mike Hartford earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Framingham State University from 1997 to 2001. Mike then pursued a Master's degree in Public Administration from the same university from 2007 to 2009. Mike also obtained several certifications in the field of internal auditing, including the IT General Controls Certificate from IIA-The Institute of Internal Auditors in 2021, and the Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from various institutions.
