Sommer Bauer

Sommer Bauer is a Texas licensed attorney and serves as Alegion’s General Counsel. She earned her Juris Doctorate at Louisiana State University and practiced transactional law at a boutique law firm in Austin prior to joining Alegion. She specializes in corporate counsel and contract negotiations in the technology and real estate sectors.

Prior to her work as an attorney, Sommer completed a Master of Arts in Comparative Literature (English and Spanish) and worked as a college English Instructor for 4 years. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Arizona, as well as a minor in Spanish, which afforded her the opportunity to study abroad in Spain and Mexico and work for an educational outreach program in Guatemala. While travel, adventure, and lifelong learning are her passions, her greatest loves are her husband and two little boys. They spend their weekends camping, boating, and cheering on their favorite sports teams.
