Kate Preston

Kate Preston serves as the General Counsel and SIRO at Birdie, a leading home healthcare technology platform, since September 2025. Since January 2024, Kate has been a Charter Member of TechGC, a peer community for general counsel. Prior to Birdie, Kate held the position of Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary at GP Bullhound from March 2021 to September 2025, providing strategic legal support to a prominent technology advisory and investment firm. Other notable roles include General Counsel and Company Secretary at Arrow Global Group Plc, and Corporate M&A/Transactional Lawyer at Pinsent Masons LLP, where extensive advisory work on mergers and acquisitions was carried out. Additionally, Kate co-founded LeadingLawyers.org.uk, a mentorship program for aspiring lawyers, and gained early experience at TalkTalk in legal roles. Kate holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) from the University of Law and a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Management from the University of Leeds.
