Director, Cell Line and Media Development at Aleph Farms

Ayelet Maor-Shoshani began their work experience as a Senior Manager and Scientist in Cell Line Development at Teva Pharmaceuticals in 2008. Their main responsibilities included generating transfected mammalian cell pools for producing recombinant biopharmaceuticals, selecting the best producing cell lines, and optimizing media and process parameters. Ayelet also led and managed a team in the Cell Biology department and introduced new technologies in cell biology. Ayelet then joined Aleph Farms in 2018 as a Senior Scientist in Cell Culture and Media Development, where they continued to contribute their expertise in cell and molecular biology. In 2020, they were promoted to the role of Director of Cell Line and Media Development at Aleph Farms.

Ayelet Maor-Shoshani completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry from Tel Aviv University between 1993 and 1996. Ayelet then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from the Weizmann Institute of Science, where they were part of the Direct Ph.D. program in the Department of Biological Chemistry, studying DNA mutagenesis and repair. This academic endeavor spanned from 1997 to 2003. Afterward, they joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a Postdoctoral Fellow from 2003 to 2008, specializing in DNA repair mechanisms.
