Shulamit Levenberg

Shulamit Levenberg has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of biomedical engineering and research. Shulamit is currently an AIMBE fellow at the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering. Prior to this, they were a member of the 8400 - The Health Network. Shulamit also participated in the "Leadership in Academia" Program at RothchildCP and served as the Chief Scientific Advisor at Nanosynex and Aleph Farms.

In terms of their academic career, Levenberg has held several positions at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Shulamit was the Stanley and Sylvia Shirvan Chair in cancer research and life science, a professor and dean of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, director of the Schneur Center for Diabetes Research, and an associate and senior lecturer at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering.

Additionally, Levenberg has been involved in various organizations and committees related to bioethics and stem cell research. Shulamit was a member of the Israel National Counsel for Bioethics and served as the president of the Israel Stem Cell Society (ISCS) during their tenure.

Furthermore, Levenberg has contributed to the academic community through their visiting professorship at Harvard University and a research associate position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Shulamit Levenberg obtained their Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Biology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1992. Shulamit then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at the Weizmann Institute of Science in the field of Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology, completing it in 1999.
