Birk Hintze Thisted has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Birk started their career as an IT-Support/Administrator at the City of Aarhus in 2007 and worked there until 2011. In 2008, they joined Samraadet as an IT Consultant & Facilitator and stayed with the company until 2019.

In 2014, they briefly worked as an IT Administrator at the University of Copenhagen for two years. Birk co-founded Cardinal Cryptography in 2019 and served as a Co-Founder until 2020.

From 2020 to 2021, they were a Technical Project Manager at Sundhed og Omsorg, Aarhus Kommune. In 2021, they transitioned to the City of Aarhus, ITK - City Lab as a Technical Project Manager and worked there until 2022.

In 2018, Birk co-founded Aleph Zero, although they were not involved in operations. Currently, they hold the position of Technical Project Manager at the City of Aarhus, ITK - Digital since 2023.

Birk Hintze Thisted pursued their education chronologically, starting with a Bachelor's Degree in Interactive digital media from Aalborg University, which they completed from 2011 to 2014. Birk then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Interactive digital media from the same institution, graduating in 2016. Earlier, in 2006 and 2007, Birk was enrolled as a student in Computer Science & IT at Aarhus University.
