John Gaffney

John Gaffney is an experienced professional in business development, employee benefits, and risk management. Currently serving as Vice President of Business Development at Alera Group, Inc. since January 2022, John has also been a Men's Division I Basketball Official in the NCAA and other prominent BCS conferences since November 2003. Prior to this, John held the position of Vice President of New Business Development at Marsh & McLennan Agency - Northeast from October 2005 to January 2022, where the focus was on advising corporations and individuals to optimize employee benefits and manage risks effectively. John began a career in financial services as a Financial Advisor at Baystate Financial Services, providing guidance on employee benefits and individual financial planning from July 1999 to November 2005. John earned a BS in Marketing from Bentley University, having attended from 1985 to 1989.
