As a lead financial advisor, Doug Busken guides team members in building strong client relationships by gaining a deep understanding of each client’s unique financial goals. He leads by example in delivering comprehensive financial advice to help clients meet their long-term objectives and works closely with Alerus specialists to build the right team for the circumstance, ensuring clients achieve and maintain financial wellness.
Doug joined Alerus in September 2022, bringing nearly 20 years of financial industry experience to his role. He previously worked at U.S. Bank in Denver, Colorado, for 18 years, serving in roles including branch manager and district manager. He most recently served as regional manager for the company’s wealth management division, a position he held from 2013 to 2022.
Doug is a Certified Financial Planner and holds bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and criminal justice from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
