Jason Brewer

Jason Brewer has worked in the medical device industry since 1998. Jason started as Manager of the Polymer Chemistry Group at BIOCOMPATIBLES UK LIMITED, then worked as Project Leader, Product Manager, and Senior Project Manager at GYRUS MEDICAL LIMITED from 2000 to 2008. Jason then moved to Olympus as Director of Research and Development, Partner Technologies, where they were a senior executive management team member, responsible for creating and implementing novel approaches to company objectives. Finally, they were Head of Research and Development at Alesi Surgical Ltd from 2015 to the present, where they are responsible for all R&D activities in the development of novel approaches to surgical smoke management, including options for technology integration, and has led the commercialization of the combination product Ultravision 5mm Trocar.

Jason Brewer obtained their Honours degree in Chemistry from the University of Surrey in 1988. Jason then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Polymer Supported Catalysis in Radiochemistry from the same university.
