Marty France

Marty France is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in education, technical advisory roles, and military leadership. Currently serving as an Orbital Warfare Instructor III at Aleut Management Services since May 2021, Marty has previously held positions including Technical Expert in the Commander's Strategic Cell at Tecolote Research and Senior Technical Advisor at Centauri. A former Permanent Professor and Head of the Department of Astronautics at the US Air Force Academy, Marty guided curriculum, research, and faculty development for future Air Force officers. Education includes a PhD in Engineering Science & Mechanics from Virginia Tech, an MS in Aeronautics & Astronautics from Stanford University, and a distinguished graduate MS in National Strategic Studies from the National War College. Notable military roles include Chief Scientist for the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization and Deputy Director of Requirements at Air Force Space Command.
