Tony Slajs

Tony Slajs has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Tony started their career at Apple Computer in 1994, where they worked as a Software Engineer, specializing in real-time operating system components. Tony also served as a backup UNIX System Administrator during their time there.

After Apple, Tony joined Embedded Performance, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer before moving on to Aureal Semiconductor, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer. At Aureal, they were responsible for software bringup tools and device driver development for sound chips.

In 1999, Tony worked at Arzoo.com as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on designing and developing middleware for accessing the Arzoo database and data import tools for acquiring vendor databases. Tony also played a key role in designing and implementing the database backend for the Arzoo Shopping Mall prototype.

From there, Tony became a Lead Software Engineer at Rentals.com, where they led a team in designing and developing presentation layer and application logic layer components for the Rentals.com web application.

Following their time at Rentals.com, Tony worked at Cariocas, Inc. as an Engineering Manager. In this role, they managed a team responsible for designing and developing the presentation layer for the CGTime Enterprise Software Suite.

In 2002, Tony joined Ensim as a Lead Software Engineer, focusing on designing and implementing user interface components for the Ensim suite of Hosting Automation software. Tony also contributed to the design and development of a new architecture for the Ensim product suite using J2EE technologies.

Tony's next position was at Entrust, where they worked as a Contract Software Engineer. Tony was responsible for designing and implementing presentation and application logic layer components for the BSC/Entrust site monitoring suite.

In 2010, Tony joined the University of California, San Francisco as a Research Software Engineer. During their time there, they focused on research and development in software engineering.

Finally, Tony's most recent position was at Alexa Internet, where they worked as a Software Engineer. Tony has been with the company since 2012.
