Greg is a member of AAFCPAs’ Managed Accounting Solutions (MAS) practice, providing outsourced, cloud-based finance & accounting support for diverse nonprofits.
Greg advises new clients on streamlining financial processes and modernizing infrastructure and systems to support current and evolving organizational goals and to keep up with the pace of change. He oversees critical aspects of transactional accounting, including AR/AP, check disbursements, and the reconciliation process to the general ledger. He also provides processing and documentation for grant tracking, revenue recognition, departmental/divisional reporting, or other areas of need. He assists in the creation of annual budgets and monitors cash flow. He reviews and approves preparation and finalization of monthly and annual financial reporting materials and benchmarking metrics for Executive Management and Boards of Directors, which assists in strategic decision-making.
Prior to transitioning to the firm’s MAS division, Greg served as AAFCPAs’ internal Chief Financial Officer (2017-2022) providing a forward-looking mindset and a strong financial and operational skill set which contributed to and guided the firm’s sustainable growth. One of his most significant contributions as CFO was the selection and implementation of a new accounting system and add-on systems, which allowed for enhanced divisional reporting & budgeting, as well as efficiencies in revenue recognition and financial statement & tax reporting. He has decades of experience in finance for entrepreneurial commercial businesses and has a proven track record of strengthening financial reporting, streamlining operations, and driving profitability. In addition, Greg has demonstrated success controlling costs & expenses, optimizing tax, managing compliance & financial risks, and optimizing IT performance & data security for growth companies in the middle market.
Greg is an active member of FEI-Boston, the largest professional associations in the region for senior and mid-level corporate financial leaders, including volunteering on several committees and speaking at CFO Roundtables.
