Flavio Goncalves Jr

Flavio Goncalves Jr is an experienced professional in operations and resource recovery, currently serving as the Division Chief of Resource Recovery for the City of Alexandria, Virginia since October 2024. Prior to this role, Flavio held the position of Operations Director at Compost Crew from August 2022 to October 2024. A substantial part of Flavio's career was spent at WM, where roles included District Manager II, District Operations Manager, Sr. Route Manager, and Industrial Route Manager from April 2016 to July 2022. Flavio's earlier experience includes positions as Route Supervisor at Don's Johns, Inc. and Operations Supervisor MRF at WM, among others. Flavio completed an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations at Northern Virginia Community College and earned a High School Diploma (GED) from Battlefield High School.
