Assisant Director Of Capital Projects at Alexandria Police Department

Jenine Kotob, AIA, NOMA, currently serves as the Assistant Director of Capital Projects for the City of Alexandria, Virginia, since June 2024. Previously, Jenine held multiple roles within The American Institute of Architects (AIA), including Senior Director and Director focused on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Strategies from September 2021 to June 2024. Jenine's design experience includes positions as Associate Architect at Hord Coplan Macht and Project Architect at Quinn Evans. Early career highlights include architectural design at KTGY Group, Inc., and research and teaching positions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where Jenine contributed to projects on university campus design and cultural institutions. Jenine began in architecture as an intern at Helbing Lipp, Ltd., and holds a Master of Science from MIT in the Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture, along with a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech.
