Jan Stephan Bolten

Jan Stephan Bolten is currently serving as an MSL & Medical Advisor for Hematology & Nephrology at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., since April 2023, overseeing the Rare Disease Portfolio in Switzerland and Austria. Prior experience includes a scientific researcher role at Universität Basel from October 2019 to March 2023, focusing on kidney function and lipid nanoparticle gene therapy in zebrafish larvae. Additionally, Jan Bolten held a position as a visiting research scientist at MDI Biological Laboratory in 2021, where collaboration with the University of Heidelberg took place. Earlier experiences also include roles as a medical transcriptionist at mediscrib GmbH and an assistant pharmacist at Hardhof Apotheke. Education includes a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and an MSc in Pharmacy, both from the University of Basel, along with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the same institution.
