Rahul Godawat

Rahul Godawat is the Head of Biologics Drug Substance Process Development and Senior Director at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a position held since October 2015. With extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, Rahul previously served as Head of Late Stage Purification Development at Genzyme Sanofi, where responsibilities included predictive process models for continuous biomanufacturing and Phase III process development. Earlier roles at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute involved research in molecular modeling and simulation, while an initial position at DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd. focused on plant design and process control. Rahul holds a Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
