Seng H. Cheng

Seng H. Cheng has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, holding prominent leadership positions focused on research and product development in rare diseases. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Research & Product Development at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Cheng previously held significant roles at Pfizer as Senior Vice President & Chief Scientific Officer of the Rare Disease Research Unit, and at Sanofi as Global Head of Research for Rare Diseases. Additional experience includes positions at Genzyme as Group Vice President of Genetic Diseases Science and as a Staff Scientist at Integrated Genetics. Cheng holds a Ph.D. and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of London, completed between 1976 and 1983.
