David Sorin is a partner at Brown Rudnick LLP and the global co-chair of the Technology group. David advises and counsels technology, tech-enabled, and life sciences enterprises, as well as entrepreneurs, technologists, founders, boards of directors, management team members and investors, throughout the development cycle - from ideation to IPO and concept to cash. David also handles transactions large and small in capital raising and investing (from pre-seed to seed and Series A financings and beyond through IPO), M&A, and technology commercialization.
Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, David was a partner and chair of the Venture Capital and Emerging Growth Companies Practice at McCarter & English, LLP. David also served on the board of TechUnited:NJ (formerly NJTC) for two years, where they were a co-founder.
David received their J.D. from Rutgers School of Law and their B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
David Sorin attended Fordham University School of Law from 1982 to 1985 and was an Associate Editor for the Law Review. David then attended New York University - Leonard N. Stern School of Business from 1976 to 1979, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Economics.
