Erik Stålbrand

Development Engineer Business Unit Electrolyser And Fuel Cell Technologies at Alfa Laval

Erik Stålbrand currently serves as a Development Engineer for the Business Unit Electrolyser and Fuel Cell Technologies at Alfa Laval, focusing on in-stack and near-stack components for hydrogen production since March 2023. Prior to this role, Erik was involved in new product development for gasketed plate heat exchangers at Alfa Laval and completed a master thesis on damage modeling of sheet metal using the GISSMO model in LS-DYNA. Additional experience includes a summer internship at Tetra Pak, where Erik worked on fluid-solid interaction simulations, and participation as an aerodynamics engineer in the Lund Formula Student project. Erik’s early career included warehousing work at Tetra Pak and leadership as chairman of the ice hockey section in Teknologkårens IF. Erik holds two master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Lund University and Queen's University and an upper secondary diploma in Natural Sciences from both Polhemskolan and Scandinavian School in Madrid.
