Özgür Caymaz

Özgür Caymaz has a diverse work experience in various roles related to automotive design and engineering. Özgür currently holds the position of Chief Project Engineer at Alfa Romeo, starting in March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Technical Design Lead at the same company from October 2021 to March 2023. Özgür also had experience at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles as a Design Specialist, where they were involved in product design, digital checks, and resolving design conflicts. In addition, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Staffordshire University from October to December 2020 and as a Mechanical Design Engineer from September 2019 to June 2020. Özgür's earlier experience includes working as a Research and Development Design Trainee and later as a Mechanical Design Engineer at MECH 3D Printers & Design Ltd, where they collaborated with the project engineering team and customers to develop manufacturing solutions.

Özgür Caymaz pursued a Master's degree in Automotive Engineering from Staffordshire University between 2019 and 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gaziantep Üniversitesi, spanning from 2013 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, Özgür Caymaz obtained several certifications. Özgür acquired a Lean Manufacturing (5S-KAIZEN-PDCA) certification from Udemy: Online Courses in February 2021. In January 2021, they earned an IATF 16949 (APQP-PPAP-FMEA-SPC-MSA) certification from the same institution. Özgür Caymaz also obtained a certification in Digital Manufacturing & Design from the University at Buffalo School of Management, The State University of New York in November 2020. Özgür further enhanced their skills by completing a Learning Siemens NX certification from LinkedIn in July 2020. Lastly, they obtained a Management Skills Certification from Udemy: Online Courses in October 2018.
