Basel Kurdi

Basel Kurdi's work experience includes being the Head of Project Management Office at alfanar since March 2022, where they established a PMO and implemented standardized processes to improve project execution. Prior to that, they worked at Petrofac as a Project Engineering Manager from September 2007 to February 2022, leading multidisciplinary engineering teams for various projects. Basel also has experience as a Civil and Structural Engineer at the Engineering Development Centre from September 2006 to August 2007, specializing in structural analysis and design. Before that, they were involved in engineering and design from 2003 to 2006.

Basel Kurdi holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Management, Leadership, and Artificial Intelligence from Royal Holloway, University of London, which they attained from 2021 to 2027. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Project Management from Heriot-Watt University from 2011 to 2013. In 2001 to 2006, Basel completed their undergraduate studies at Jami't Al-Ba'ath, where they earned an Engineer degree in Structural Engineering.
