Yousef Albarqawi

Yousef Albarqawi has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Yousef is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of alfii, a position they have held since August 2022. Prior to this, Yousef served as the Chief Operating Officer of ChatFood from October 2021 to April 2022 and of Kitch from November 2020 to October 2021.

Before joining these startups, Yousef gained extensive experience in the food delivery industry, working at Deliveroo. Yousef held various leadership positions at the company, including Head of Deliveroo Editions in APAC & Middle East from December 2019 to November 2020, Head of Deliveroo Editions in Europe & Middle East from November 2018 to December 2019, and Head of Special Projects from November 2016 to November 2018.

Previously, Yousef co-founded Cold-Toast Hospitality and served as its Managing Director from April 2013 to November 2016. Yousef began their career as a Senior Financial Analyst at Ghobash Group from June 2011 to April 2013.

Yousef Albarqawi completed their undergraduate education at the American University of Beirut from 2002 to 2007, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree. In addition to their degree, they also have several certifications. Yousef obtained a Technical Analysis Certificate from the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) in February 2011 and a Canadian Securities Certificate from the same institution in October 2010. In June 2012, they became a Level 1 Candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, certified by the CFA Institute. Lastly, in June 2019, they obtained a certification in Private Equity & Venture Capital from Università Bocconi.
