Heather Neal, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning a range of industries and roles. Heather currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Alfond Youth & Community Center. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Finance at the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance and Westbrook School Department, where they implemented financial improvements, managed budgets, and enhanced grant management systems. Heather also has experience as a CEO of HNEAL Consulting, Inc., where they provided federal grant management and business consulting services. Heather has served as the Business & Human Resource & Food Service Director at Maine Arts Academy, overseeing budget management and implementing fiscal controls. Additionally, Heather has worked as a Stand-up Comedian & Writer, engaging in public performances since 2011. Earlier in their career, they held positions as a Staff Accountant at RHR Smith & Company CPAs and various roles at the State of Maine.

Heather Neal obtained their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Thomas College, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Maine at Augusta, attending from 2007 to 2010. Heather also holds an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management from Kennebec Valley Community College, which they received between 2001 and 2004.

Before their college education, Heather attended Nokomis Regional High School from 1997 to 1999 and Penquis Valley High School from 1995 to 1997.

In addition to their degrees, Heather Neal has obtained various certifications throughout their career. Heather received a Certificate in Education Finance from Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy in July 2021. In February 2021, they obtained a Criminal History Record Check certification from the Maine Department of Education. Heather also holds a ServSafe Certification from the National Restaurant Association since April 2019. Earlier certifications include Education Technician I, II, III, & ESEA for Grades B-12 from the Maine Department of Education in February 2016, ASA Certified from the National Federation of State High School Associations in April 2015, Notary Public from the State of Maine in November 2009, and a Certification of Human Resources from the University of Maine at Augusta in May 2007.
