Sam Towns

Sam Towns is a highly experienced Senior Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist currently employed at Alfred Health since August 2023. Prior to this role, Sam served as Lead Medical Physicist at Icon Cancer Centre from January 2018 to August 2023, and held the position of Site Senior Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist at Epworth from January 2015 to December 2017. Beginning a career in 1998 at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre as a Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist, Sam has also worked at Radiation Oncology Queensland from January 2011 to December 2014. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics and a Master's of Applied Science in Medical and Health Physics, both obtained from RMIT University.
