Sophia Zoungas

Sophia Zoungas is a distinguished Consultant Endocrinologist with extensive experience in both clinical practice and academic leadership. At Alfred Health and Monash Health, Sophia provides expert endocrinological care. As the Head of the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and the Division of Chronic Disease and Aging at Monash University, Sophia oversees significant research and educational initiatives. Additionally, Sophia serves as Deputy Director at the Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation and leads the Diabetes Research Program at The George Institute for Global Health. Sophia's academic foundation includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine from Monash University and a Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Physicians in Endocrinology.
