Nikkie Herman

Nikkie Herman serves as the Chief Diversity Officer and Title IX Coordinator at Alfred State since August 2007, overseeing Title IX compliance and promoting awareness through workshops and events associated with The White House and Generation Progress It's On Us campaign. In addition to these roles, Nikkie instructs the Introduction to Women and Gender Studies course, advises student organizations, and supports under-represented students. As an adjunct professor at both Alfred University and within the SUNY system, Nikkie contributes to graduate programs and serves as Vice President/President Elect of the SUNY Title IX Coordinator's Association. Nikkie's extensive educational background includes an advanced graduate certificate in Women and Gender Studies, a Master's Degree in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies, and a Bachelor's degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education.
