Eberhard Sauter is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in marine and maritime technologies. Since 2008, Eberhard Sauter has served as the Head of Technology Transfer at the Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research AWI, focusing on innovation management, technology transfer, and industry cooperation. In addition to this role, Eberhard Sauter has been an Honorary Professor at the University of Applied Sciences Bremerhaven since 2009, teaching marine technologies and related subjects. Prior experience includes positions as a Senior Scientist in Deep-Sea Research and Marine Geochemistry at the Alfred Wegener Institute and as a Scientist in Marine Research at GEOMAR. Eberhard Sauter holds a Dr. rer. nat. in Marine Environmental Geology from the University Kiel, a degree as a Patent Engineer from FernUniversität in Hagen, and a Diplom in Chemistry from the University Karlsruhe.
