Senior Scientist (Downstream) at Algenex

Manuel Guinea Díaz has worked in various roles in the biopharmaceutical and scientific fields since 2007. Manuel began their career with a PhD Degree in Redox Regulation of Signaling Processes in the Chloroplast at the Universidad de Sevilla. From there, they served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Umeå Plant Science Centre, studying Chloroplast development in Arabidopsis thaliana and the interchange of signals between the chloroplast and the nucleus. Manuel then moved on to a Postdoctoral Researcher role at Turun yliopisto - University of Turku, studying thioredoxin regulation of photosythesis in Arabidopsis. In 2019, they took on the role of DSP Development Technician at 3P Biopharmaceuticals, providing development oversight, knowledge and technical input into laboratory activities following SOPs in accordance with a cGMP environment. Currently, Manuel Guinea Díaz is employed as a Senior Scientist (Downstream) and Laboratory Technician (Downstream) at ALGENEX S.L.

Manuel Guinea Díaz obtained a Biology Degree from the Universidad de Sevilla in 2006. Manuel then pursued a Master's degree in Molecular Biology and Plant Biotechnology from the same university, which they completed in 2008. Most recently, they obtained a Master's degree in Monitoring of Clinical Trials and Medical Affairs from CESIF in 2021.
