Kevin A. Shaw, Ph.D.

Kevin A. Shaw, Ph.D. has a wide range of work experience. In 1995, they were the V.P. Engineering and Co-founder of IronWood Technologies, Inc. In 1997, they were a Senior Engineer at Kionix, Inc. In 2000, they were the Director of Business Development and Senior Engineer at Calient Optical Components. From 2006 to 2014, they were the Chief Technology Officer, Director of Navigation Products, and Director of Business Development at Sensor Platforms. In 2014, they were the Director of Business Development at Audience, Inc. From 2013 to 2015, they were an Adjunct Faculty at Singularity University. From 2015 to present, they have been the CTO and Co-founder of CareMate and Algorithmic Intuition. Kevin A. is also a Board Member at Algorithmic Intuition.

Kevin A. Shaw, Ph.D. began their education in 1980 at Francis Parker. In 1984, they earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego. From 1990 to 1991, they earned a M.E. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. Kevin A. then earned a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University from 1991 to 1993. Shaw went on to earn a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University from 1990 to 1997. In 2005, they earned an M.S. in Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business as a Sloan Fellow.

In addition to their formal education, Shaw has obtained various certifications. In 2011, they obtained a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) from Millbrae CERT. Kevin A. obtained a Wood Badge from the Boy Scouts of America in 2012. In 2015, they obtained a Stanford Machine Learning (Instructor: Dr. Andrew Ng) from Coursera Course Certificates. In 2018, they obtained a Sequence Models by Dr. A. Ng from Coursera. In 2019, they obtained a Convolutional Neural Networks from Coursera.
