Igor Jakubiak, PhD

Igor Jakubiak, PhD, has a varied work experience in the field of data science and analytics. Igor is currently serving as the Lead Data Scientist at Algomine, where they lead a team of 15 data analysts and machine learning engineers. In this role, they are responsible for delivering data science projects, including demand forecasting, fraud detection, and operations optimization.

Prior to their current position, Igor worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Algolytics Technologies from November 2020 to May 2021. Before that, they gained experience as a Technology Strategy Consultant at Accenture from November 2019 to October 2020.

Igor'sexperience with SAS includes multiple roles, starting as an Associate Analytical Consultant from August 2015 to March 2017, followed by a promotion to Senior Associate Analytical Consultant from April 2017 to December 2018. Igor then served as an Analytical Consultant from January 2019 to October 2019. During their time at SAS, Igor was involved in implementing analytical and operational systems across various industries, such as Retail and Insurance. Igor also presented their results at SAS Forum and SAS Analytics Day.

Earlier in their career, Igor worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Warsaw from July 2014 to September 2019. In addition to their research work, they taught courses on data analytics using SAS and R to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Igor's first professional experience was as a Data Analyst intern at PKP Intercity, where they contributed to the creation of a forecasting system for seat occupancy. Igor successfully developed a prototype that provided daily forecasts for all express trains.

Lastly, Igor gained valuable experience as an intern at DHL in August and September 2012.

Throughout their work experience, Igor has demonstrated expertise in delivering advanced analytics solutions, conducting quantitative analyses, applying econometric models, and utilizing various software tools such as SAS and R.

Igor Jakubiak, PhD, obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from the University of Warsaw from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Advanced Analytics - Big Data from SGH Warsaw School of Economics from 2013 to 2016. Igor also holds a Master's degree in Econometrics and IT from the University of Warsaw from 2013 to 2015. Igor completed their Bachelor's degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from SGH Warsaw School of Economics from 2010 to 2013.

In addition to their academic degrees, Igor has obtained several certifications. Igor received the "Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Microsoft Power BI" certification from Microsoft in December 2019. In February 2019, they acquired the certifications of "SAS Certified Big Data Professional Using SAS 9" and "SAS Certified Data Scientist Using SAS 9" from SAS. In November 2018, Igor obtained the "SAS Certified Advanced Analytics Professional Using SAS9" certification. Igor also holds the "SAS Certified Predictive Modeler Using SAS Enterprise Miner 14" certification, which they obtained in September 2018. In September 2016, Igor received the "Analityk Statystyczny SAS" certification from SAS. Additionally, they obtained the "Data Mining Certificate" from SAS in July 2015. Lastly, Igor holds a "Certificate of Proficiency in English" from the University of Cambridge, which they acquired in June 2009.
