Dina Obaid has a diverse range of work experience in various organizations. In 2011, they became a Board Member for the Iraqi Network for Social Media (INSM), where they held a leadership role. In the same year, they also volunteered as a Human Rights Defender for Front Line Defenders. In 2013, Dina joined the Salam Shabab program as a Social Media Team Member, contributing their skills on a voluntary basis. In 2014, they continued their involvement in social media and volunteer work, this time as a team member for both the Journalistic Freedoms Observatory and Aswat al-Iraq.
In 2016, Dina started working at the United States Institute of Peace as a Researcher for the PeaceTech Exchange project. This role allowed their to utilize their research skills in the pursuit of peace-building efforts.
In 2017, Dina briefly worked as a Trainer for Ushahidi, a non-profit software company focused on information collection and visualization.
Most recently, in 2020, Dina became a Social Media Producer at the Middle East Broadcasting Networks, where they are responsible for managing social media content and engagement.
Overall, Dina has demonstrated a consistent dedication to social media and humanitarian causes throughout their work experience.
Dina Obaid started their education journey in 2008 at the University of Baghdad, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in French Language and Literature. Dina successfully completed this program in 2011. Later, in 2012, Dina joined Lund University to obtain a Diploma of Education in the field of internet. Dina completed their studies at Lund University in 2013.
