Mohammed Abuarqoub has extensive work experience in the media and journalism field. Mohammed has worked as a Content Lead (Senior Editor) at Middle East Broadcasting Networks, where they led a team of 12 staff reporters in producing content for digital platforms. Mohammed was responsible for coordinating and delegating assignments, proofreading and editing final copy, and providing editorial feedback.

Mohammed also worked as a Researcher at the Samir Kassir Foundation, where they conducted a research study funded by UNESCO on the development of the Palestinian media sector. Mohammed led a team of field researchers to study the sector and analyze data using UNESCO's media development indicators.

At Birzeit University, Mohammed served as a Senior Project Manager and Trainer, overseeing the implementation of the "National Initiative for the Development of Palestinian Media" funded by SIDA. Mohammed designed components for the initiative and conducted meetings with Palestinian media organizations to form a coalition for implementation.

Mohammed has also worked as a Lecturer at both An Najah National University and Al-Quds University, teaching courses in the school of media and journalism.

Mohammed has conducted media research as a Media Researcher at UNESCO, where they led a team in studying the Palestinian media sector and measuring its development using UNESCO's media development indicators.

Additionally, they have experience as a Trainer and Consultant at Yemen Times Newspaper and Radio, where they conducted training workshops on radio skills and designed radio programming plans.

As a Senior Associate for Media Policy at Internews, Mohammed led research and training programs focused on Palestinian media policies. Mohammed researched freedom of expression, right to access information, media ethics, and legislation, and implemented training programs for Palestinian media institutions.

At Community Media Network, Mohammed worked as a Radio Manager, overseeing 35 journalists and providing administrative and editorial supervision. Mohammed managed daily editorial meetings, developed the team's skills, and aimed to provide a professional media product.

Finally, Mohammed served as a Media Consultant at IREX, supervising the establishment of a radio station at Mutah University and training a team of university students in radio journalism and leadership.

Throughout their career, Mohammed Abuarqoub has gained experience in various aspects of media and journalism, including content production, research, training, and policy development.

Mohammed Abuarqoub completed their Bachelor's degree in Journalism at An Najah National University from 1999 to 2003. Mohammed then pursued a Master's degree in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from Middle East University - MEU from 2008 to 2010. Continuing their education, Mohammed obtained a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs from Fairfax University of America (FXUA) between 2017 and 2019. Currently, they are enrolled in Regent University, where they are expected to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Communication and Media Studies. This program will run from 2019 to 2024.
